Penelope studied Theatre at Dartington College of Arts. She has sixteen years practical experience as a facilitator and performer in a variety of contexts, both in professional theatres and also educational establishments, reflecting a breadth of skills and experience. Her work as a facilitator and director includes setting up a successful youth theatre in East Grinstead, four
years running the drama department of Ruskin Mill, (a specialist college for young people with special needs and behavioural issues), lecturing at both Stroud sixth form college and the Waldorf College, Stroud, and directing numerous scripted and devised ensemble pieces during that time. Alongside this work she also regularly worked as a professional performer, playwright, composer and musical director in her own right.The diversity of her work and her professionalism is matched by a passion to encourage young people with a diversity of experience and needs, to develop their skills and be the best that they can be.
