Jay has worked in the arts for more than 20 years, previously working with companies such as Circomedia, Welfare State International, DOCA, Pioneer Projects (Celebratory Arts), mac, and Art Shape Ltd.
She has been working as a Freelance Project/Programme/Event Manager/Strategist/Fundraiser since returning to Gloucestershire in 2013 with specialisms in outdoor celebratory arts, circus & arts and health.
Jay currently works with Can’t Sit Still and with Create Gloucestershire as Company Manager. She’s also the founder of Making Place, a craft enterprise in Cirencester which seeks to get people ‘back into their hands’ through making and mending.
Her previous clients have included Quest Southwest - coordinating their Creative Explorations event series, managing the South West’s outdoor arts network and advocating for the outdoor arts sector in the Southwest of England; Devizes Outdoor Celebratory Arts as Outdoor Arts Manager; and Associate Director of the Overground Underground, a community festival of the Ingleborough Dales in Yorkshire, leading on a development project as part of a Heritage Lottery Landscapes Partnership programme.
