Imagine is a Therapeutic Arts project offering an accessible and supportive studio space in which members can explore and develop their creativity in the community-based practice. The studio opened in 2009 and is currently run by Laura Ridolfi and Hisako Hannah Simon. Members can chose between the 'open studio practice' (Monday, 2:00 to 5:00pm) and the 'social art group' (Monday, 7:00 to 9:00pm) - which allow more independent artistic work, or the 'theme-based groups’ (Days and times vary, please enquire for details) - where, in a confidential setting, artistic and emotional aspects of a specific theme are explored from different perspectives. Imagine also runs a programme of workshops for adult and children - see the website for further details. Imagine offers a safe space where creativity can be used as a powerful tool for furthering self-awareness and change. No previous artistic experience is required to join the studio and basic art materials are provided.
