Foulisfair Theatre
Foulisfair Theatre
Foulisfair Theatre was formed in Leeds in 2007 following an MA in Theatre Making and moved to Cheltenham the following year. It's performance pieces arise from a process of research, devising and writing, and explore key moments, crossroads or rights of passage that tend to be deeply felt, universal experiences. The name Foulisfair refers not only to Macbeth's witches, but to the bittersweet nature of intense experience - whether that is about growing up and leaving home, becoming a mother or facing one's own mortality.
Offers Informal support / mentoring
Foulisfair Theatre has organised and produced a number of collaborative events in which a range of local creative artists have taken part. For example, to celebrate International Women's Day or to raise money for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice. Foulisfair remains open to and interested in collaborating with other artists and has establised a loose network/facebook page called Gloucestershire Free Creatives.
