My main expertise is in learning, social engagement and evaluation for the arts and cultural sector. I am passionate about widening opportunity and access to arts and creative experiences for everyone, in particular children and young people.

I work with galleries, museums, arts organisations and individual artists to help them develop and thrive so that they in turn can continue to help people learn, create, connect and flourish.

Before I became a consultant and lecturer, I was head of Outreach and Learning at Artes Mundi, the international contemporary art prize and biennial exhibition. I have also worked with Tate Modern, Whitechapel Gallery, Arts Council England and was Programme Manager for Creative Partnerships, an international leader in bringing arts, culture and creative approaches into the classroom.

I also have extensive experience of leading international partnerships, and have devised and run cultural programmes with partners in Finland, Norway, China and Uganda.

I have a keen interest in the relationship between well-being and cultural participation and am a trustee on the board of Arts and Health South West.
