Gloucestershire Community Foundation volunteer opportunity: High Sheriff Fund grants panel members
Would you like to give back to your community? Gloucestershire Community Foundation is looking for two new volunteer grant panel members to help make decisions on applications for funding by community groups and charities that work with young people at risk of engagement in crime or anti-social behaviour.
About the High Sheriff Panel
The High Sheriff of Gloucestershire grants programme panel is particularly focused on diverting young people from engagement in crime and anti-social behaviour through offering opportunities to engage in challenging activities that raise self-esteem and develop skills. These include projects like ‘Transition Tuesdays’ at The Rock in Cheltenham and ‘Good in the Hood’ at Nailsworth Youth Club. You can see the most recent full list of grants that GCF has given here.
Please download the information pack which includes the role description and other appropriate information about GCF – High Sheriff Volunteer Panel Member Recruitment Pack. If you would like more information about this role, you would be welcome to contact Helen Wolfson, Grants Officer at GCF for an informal conversation with you regarding your application.
If you would like to apply, please do fill out the Application and Equality and Diversity Monitoring forms, (links below) explaining why you are interested in becoming a volunteer panel member and how your skills and experience are appropriate for the role.
Send these together with a CV or Linkedin profile if you have one to our Grants Officer, Helen Wolfson – grantsofficer@gloucestershirecf.org.uk.
We will ask for referees for those shortlisted for the roles.
The closing date for applications is 9am, Tuesday 21st May 2023.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet with existing panel members and GCF staff in an online conversation on Thursday 13th June at 9am.
Thank you so much for your interest.
