Participation manager
Connecting people with crafts is a critical part of our charitable mission. We are looking for somebody to programme, oversee and manage our courses, workshops and classes.
£18 000, Part-Time (3 days a week)
Permanent Contract
Our courses and workshops inspire people to come together and make, and to learn a new skill, brush up on a long-lost skill or develop a current interest. You’ll bring your understanding of a wide variety of craft practices and event management experience together to produce programmes that excite audiences and are commercially successful.
You’ll be part of the Senior Management Team here and lead a team of staff and freelance tutors. Responsibilities include safeguarding lead, health and safety for activities and studios and financial planning and monitoring.

2 x Community workshop artists
We are looking for two Community workshop artists to deliver workshops, ensuring that the activity is engaging, accessible and inclusive for a large number of diverse participants.
Freelance
Fee: £2,250
To lead 9 sessions, plus participate in 1 training session
Project Orpheus will deliver a community puppet parade, with puppets designed and created by lead artist Russell Kirk. Russell will also devise community workshops to be delivered by Community workshop artists in schools and community venues in and around Cirencester (including New Brewery Arts). Our community workshops will enable families and young people to make an element of the parade themselves and bring this with them as they participate on the day of the parade and to share in the joy of creating celebratory community artwork.
You must be available on the following dates
14th February - training day with lead artist at New Brewery Arts
27th April - parade day, Cirencester

Young Peoples’ Group Lead
We are looking for a dynamic, relevant producer/creative to set up and deliver a Young Peoples’ Group at New Brewery Arts over the next 12 months.
Freelance
Fee: £1,250
You should relish working in a community / socially based practice and have demonstrable experience of this form of working. You will have strong experience of devising and realising creative projects with community groups, and young people in particular. You’ll work with the Senior Management team to set up a new community group especially for young people. Then devise and deliver 12 sessions of ‘young peoples’ group’ activities, co-producing, responding to and facilitating the participants ideas and creativity.
A DBS check will be required for this role
