Green Pledge Project at Glos Archives - Artists Open Call

We have material that illustrates our shifting relationship with wildlife and the landscape, weather data which shows increased temperatures and rainfall over the centuries in our area, flooding accounts going back centuries, records that highlight biodiversity loss, conservation achievements, and much more besides.

We are seeking submissions from sculptors/model makers to create a 3D piece in response to documents in our touring exhibition of pull up banners.

These banners will be displayed at a variety of community locations including libraries, museums, and exhibition venues.

It will need to be a simple eye-catching piece, which can be displayed within the exhibition space, possibly on a table, stand or the floor.

Expressions of interest midnight Sunday 17th November.

Artist selection by Friday 21st November.

Artist to visit archives at mutually agreed time over following few weeks.

To be ready for exhibiting by the end of April 2025

Budget: £2000 To cover all artists fees and materials and any engagement with the public to create the piece.
