Texture Relief Prints with Charlotte Hawke

You’ll experiment with drawing and pressing natural or household objects into foam tiles, then print them to build layers of colour and pattern. This course my be of interest to those who have struggled with cutting into Lino previously, but who would like to use the relief print process to develop their portfolios.

This course is free for people who are 19+ and living in Gloucestershire, who meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
Have 5 GCSEs or less
Want to gain confidence to build new skills.

Winter Trees with Alison Cockroft creative course

The stark shapes of trees in the winter are a beautiful part of our landscapes and also a wonderful invitation to the artist. Though they may seem dauntingly complex these forms can be approached in many interesting, simple, and satisfying ways with different materials and methods.

Using lots of inspiring examples, this course will lead you through a number of interesting approaches to this subject, giving you the experience of a range of art processes. If you are looking for a course you can do in the comfort of your own home and fit around your life, this could be for you.

This course is free for people who are 19+ and living in Gloucestershire, who meet at least ONE of the following criteria:

3D Animals Revisited - a creative construction course

This course will use construction with card, wire and other junk materials combined with plaster bandage to explore animal forms large and small. If you like constructing with different materials and don't mind getting a bit messy this course is for you.

Have you ever felt that the writing process is a kind of journey, starting with a rough landscape of an idea which you have to dig to understand better? This course might be for you, exploring your writing process.

On this course, we’ll be thinking about the stages of the writing process - from initial brainstorms to editing - and discovering what we can get out of them. We’ll also explore how writers use the idea of journeys in their work.

Perfectly Imperfect Mixed Media course

Perfectly Imperfect with Warren Day

Have fun exploring a range of mixed media techniques to produce artwork that celebrates imperfections, to achieve a visually interesting and beautiful outcome.

You will experiment with colour and texture with techniques and processes including large scale multiple image transfer, collaged natural materials and earth samples. No experience necessary, just a willingness to experiment and have fun!

This course is free for people who are 19+ and live in Gloucestershire, who meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
Below a full level 2 in their education (5 GCSEs or less)
Unemployed /low waged (below £20,319 per annum).
