Louise Bardgett

Alongside my project management work with Create Gloucestershire, Iā€™m an independent movement specialist and collaborative artist working predominately in care and health based settings with older people. I have been involved in various programme strands with Create Gloucestershire, from leading on Art of Libraries, as a Gateway for the government Kickstart scheme, and catalyst - leadership development programme. I am currently supporting our Create Health strand, around health inequalities across our county.

With a particular interest in working with the very young and older people, I enjoy working collaboratively and over the years have delivered large-scale, outdoor projects and training across the Midlands as part of theVERYidea artist collective.   I am co-founder of Open Arms Artists' Collective, facilitating person-centred arts experiences in community venues, care settings, homes, gardens and on doorsteps with people living with dementia and their supporters/carers.

I have over twenty five years experience in the arts and cultural sector as a creative practitioner and Programme Manager, including Dance Animateur for Warrington BC, Education Manager for Dance4 in Nottingham and before relocating to Glos, as Programme Manager for Creative Partnerships in Coventry.
