PS : Have you found the Word Walk yet?

The Word Walk is an art trail to tell the story of the place and communities in Gloucester.

It connects place and history to tell the stories of local people, past and present highlighting some of Gloucester’s most valuable and well-loved community organisations. It loosely follows the railway line from Podsmead to Kings Square, and some of the artworks have taken inspiration from vintage railway posters.

The ten artworks have been inspired by conversations and workshops with local people, as well as archive research about the locations. Each piece has its own style, background and meaning.

The pieces include quotes and accompanying audio that you can access via a QR code.

Scan the codes or visit each Word Walk page to listen to the audio artworks, and enjoy!
