Jam-packed hip hop programme coming to Gloucester Guildhall this autumn
Elements: 50th Anniversary of hip hop will celebrate all aspects of the genre from graffiti to breaking, cinema to DJing and more. Bringing together hip hop fans of all ages from across the South West and beyond!
A takeover from associate artists Your Next Move and guest artists The Breaking League. From unmissable masterclasses to captivating contests, this jam-packed line-up of events will bring together audiences and professionals to explore the elements of hip hop culture and its evolution.
Alongside spectacular competitive dance battles, there will be several workshops for young people aged 7 – 16, who are interested to learn more about the different elements of hip hop. In workshops focussed on lyric writing and graffiti, participants will get a taste of two essential elements of hip hop culture or improve their break-dancing skills with internationally renowned dancers Kid Karam and Kid David!
So, if you are looking to start a cypher, or you’re a footwork cat hoping to hone your skills in a masterclass, Elements has something for you.
